Are you planning to use a portable tub during your labor? D'you think the neighbors will mind? Are you scared at all? Seeing that "17 days to go" thing has me feeling anxious and... I'm not you!

BTW, moms will never approve of your birth choice, I think it's a mum thing. If you had an OB and were doing this in hospital, then it'd be the wrong OB and wrong hospital. ;) -- Umm Zaid, a birthing center person myself.

They are all the issues that are actually holding me *back* from home-birthing!

I'm not an earth-mother in any sense of the word and I'll probably chicken out at the last minute - neighbours are an issue, yes, as I live in a terraced house and I swore rather a lot last time! But the long and the short of it is that I just don't want to go into hospital and be slapped around by healthworkers ...

I'll probably end up going though at the first twinge :P
