Did some rod work

He has a very low concentration span and easily rushes off when things are not completed. Anyone suggest an activity which will make him more diligent in finishing off tasks??

hmm, Isabella's staying power wasn't great. My mum did point out that actually that's NORMAL and what did I expect from a 4 year old. This year (she's 6 weeks off 5) she's started to change, more pride in work etc so I think it *is* something they develop in themselves.

I agree, I am homeschooling a 4yr. old, and they generally aren't ready to sit down and concentrate.

They are still classifying things in their little minds.

You can take something that they really like ( animals, shapes, colors, counting), and constantly associate those things with the activity they are currently working on.

Excitement when they complete a task, such as high-fives, "Alhamdulillah", "Masha Allah", "Look how smart you are Buddy!", and "Wow! you have a super brain!", tends to motivate the child to work a little harder, although at 4yrs, not very much harder! lol.
